Entrée au niveau M1

Students from France entering the M1 level

To apply at the M1 level, a student must have a 3-year degree (180 ECTS, L3 or 3-year Bachelor) in the Life Sciences (or in another discipline while having demonstrated their interest for the Life Sciences through optional courses and/or internships).

There are four ways to apply to the Master 1 year (M1) of the Interdisciplinary Master in Life Sciences (IMaLiS) for students in the French higher education system, depending on their training :

Students holding a French Licence in Life Sciences can apply for admission to IMaLiS. Applications in 2024 will open January 11th through the PSL application platform ; deadline March 11th , 2024.
Candidates preselected by the program committee will be invited for an interview by visioconference on April 22nd, 23rd or 24th, 2024 (with additional remote interviews for candidates to scholarships scheduled on April 30th, May 2nd or 3rd).

Students holding a French Master 1 degree or equivalent (e.g. having completed a second year of engineering school) in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Chemistry or Geosciences, and who have demonstrated interest in Life Sciences can apply for admission to IMaLiS as described above. These students can benefit from competitive stipends (6,000 €/year). For further information, see the Q-Life/IMaLiS scholarship page.

Second year medical students from French Medicine and Pharmacy universities can apply for the Médecine/Sciences track, which allows them to follow part of our M1 in parallel with their third year of medical school. For further information and application, see the Médecine/Sciences programme page.

Second year AgroParisTech engineering students should apply for the Double diplôme AgroParisTech/ENS. For further information and application, see the programme page.
